Cava has become increasingly important in the UK wine market. But it is a crowded marketplace, and to do well, communication is important. Good English is now indispensable if you want to market your wines effectively, not only in the UK, but also in the USA. It is pretty much a global language. I have seen the way that St Pau’ls English Academy works, and I’m impressed. I particularly like the way they use real-life examples, taking text and video from some of the leading wine communicators as examples to study. They offer an affordable way to help people in the wine industry learn English, with a particular focus on the language of the wine trade, and that’s a great thing.
